Morgan and her therapy dog provide animal-assisted counseling services to children, tweens, and teens. Rio is a trained therapy animal who works in partnership with Morgan to help clients resolve psychosocial challenges and achieve growth.
Morgan is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Intern under the supervision of Kirby Schroeder, LPC-S, LMFT-S. Morgan and her therapy dog are graduates of the Animal-Assisted Counseling Academy at Texas State University. Morgan and Rio form a Canine Counseling Intern Team supervised by Elizabeth Hartwig, PhD, LPC-S, LMFT, RPT-S.

Animal-assisted counseling (AAC) is a goal-directed process in which a trained therapy animal works in partnership with a counselor to help clients resolve psychosocial challenges and achieve growth. AAC often involves using experiential and expressive interventions that include the therapy animal. Morgan and Rio work together as a team to help clients of all ages grow and achieve their goals.
